"Reflections on the Mall"
We will miss a First Friday opening in August and open "Reflections on the Mall" August 10th.
This series of images was taken prior to the deconstruction of the Fayetteville Street Mall in downtown Raleigh, NC. It documents compositions lost to the new "Main Street" construction. The fountains, large canopy of trees and the other obstacles in the path of progress or retro-progress, as the case may be, are gone.
While I personally welcome the new/old thoroughfare, I will miss the images in the fountains and walkways.
